A Campus For Creativity and Collaboration

Amsteldok, WPP’s latest campus for creativity and collaboration, has been shortlisted for a World Festival of Interiors INSIDE 2019 Award in the completed offices category.

The careful renovation of this building gives office floors maximum heights, with large open floorplates allowing for creative flexibility now and in the years to come. The floor to ceiling glass façade allows natural light to illuminate the inside of this building, green roof terraces (at various heights) encourage creativity and the flexibility of the space allows collaboration where teams can be seamlessly connected.

The entire building meets BREEAM certification standards. In this case this standard is Breeam Very Good, an exceptional score for a renovation project. As well as rainwater buffering and retention, green roofs, advanced daylight system control, advanced climate system control, energy efficient daylight control, thermal storage system and energy rating class A.

The surrounding neighbourhood, predominantly a residential area has now been reinvigorated by the occupation of this large building - there is a new buzz to the locale.

At the official opening, Mark Read, CEO of WPP, said:

“WPP campuses help us deliver a simpler, more integrated offer to clients by bringing great agency brands together under one roof and providing easier access to our collective talent. Giving our people modern, world-class working environments allows them to do their best creative work, it encourages closer collaboration and it’s an important part of building an open and optimistic culture at WPP.”

BDG will join the judging panel in Amsterdam later this year to present Amsteldok.
