BDG held its annual staff conference on the 18th September to reflect on a year of growth and change - new logos, new office and new company structures.
The day began with a presentation by our Managing Director, Gill Parker, who highlighted some major wins for our team including Ogilvy & Mather Group Worldwide at Sea Containers, and the core building projects in Hamburg and Madrid. This was followed by a brief review of some key schemes including EDF Energy in Cannington Court, this year’s BCO winner Brand Union, Hill + Knowlton (also our hosts for the day) to name a few.
BDG is a company with a long history in the world of architecture + design, however the change in culture, personnel and types of project that the studio now works on is huge, and we are approaching the future with a 'start up’ mentality.
With exciting times lying ahead, Creative Director Colin Macgadie presented the company ethos of our methodology, reinforcing why we do what we do and how we do it.
The afternoon took the form of a team building workshop run by Make Happy, led but Jonathan Bannister, with the assistance of a lot of lego and post it notes!
And what better way to end the day that with a few Friday night drinks at the Golden Bee in Shoreditch.
