Already tenants of the Liver Building, which was being refurbished on a floor by floor basis, BNY Mellon/Pershing decided to remain in the building and take space on the upgraded 8th floor.
BDG was appointed to undertake the concept and implementation design for their new workplace, with a 7 month programme from inception to occupation. Sustainability was high on our client’s agenda which supported the design team in following the LEED accreditation process, for which we achieved ‘Gold’.
The office comprises of over 250 people, predominantly in open plan and 10 management offices. The reception area is the main arrival point for the business and supports the business centre which consists of 10 meeting rooms.
A deli/lounge provides staff with a kitchen and a welcoming area where they can eat and relax away from their desks. The lounge also provides an extension to the workplace to allow for quiet space, informal meetings and a collaboration area.
