The Studio

Agile Working

Clear desk policy. Remove any stationary and return to the room.

Security

The studio is open 24/7. When leaving and arriving, always ensure that the door is fully closed behind you for security of the building and your fellow colleagues. Bike storage is available on the ground floor of the studio, it is your responsibility to ensure that your bike is secure.

Meeting Rooms

In the studio, we have a number of areas which can be used for meeting space. However, we ask that if you are hosting guests or your meeting requires a large screen, that you reserve either the Gallery or the Boardroom. To reserve these areas simply send an email to the studio manager with the date and time of when you require the room, the total number of people (internal and external) and if any equipment or catering is required.

Visitors

Visitors will ring our intercom when trying to access the building, it is important that we answer this as soon as possible to allow our visitors in. When answering the intercom, answer the phone and greet them accordingly and instruct them on how to reach the main studio. It is important that you continue to watch the monitor to ensure that no one follows them inside. When visitors reach the top of the staircase greet them again and ask who they are meeting, instruct them to then sit down in the sofa area and offer them a refreshment. Whilst they are seated inform the person they are here to meet that they have arrived and waiting for them.

Kitchen Facilities

Our studio has a fully equipped kitchen,

There is no charge for beverages in our tea point. There is a dishwasher for used cups (the machine in the cupboard to the left of the sink!). The fridge is for milk and food which staff bring in, please keep this tidy and remove anything not needed or old. Fresh fruit is provided daily.

Stationary
Most office supplies are located in the lockers in the print room.  Speak to our Studio Manager if you notice we are running short or you need any stationery.

Photocopiers and printers
We have both a Black & White printer and a colour printer/scanner/copier. Please print only when you need to and double sided where possible this will help to support our sustainability aims (like minded clients will also expect this). There is also a large AO (black and white) printer on the floor, used primarily for production drawings.

Library
We have our own library for materials and samples. This space is valuable to us as a resource and an area where we can set up design boards. We invite our client to working sessions here. Please help to keep it tidy. We are increasingly moving towards digital solutions for samples, it is the designers' responsibility that project specific samples are returned to the supplier after you have finished with them so they can be reused/recycled after use.
